They use a totally different ACPI core. so almost every battery docklet/indicator is brocken... now the solution is patch almost every app that uses acpi and put a warning at the end of the acpi-sources install... lets think more on this The new ACPI uses a different /proc-scheme, but most apps already have fixes for that. acpid works fine with new acpi, the gnome-battery-applet with gnome2 also does. I think this is invalid. As the new acpi will become part of the kernel in the future, you should report bugs about the apps not working with the acpi-kernel. |
