does your gtk have the xpm pixbuf module built & available in /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf-loaders ? (In reply to comment #1) > does your gtk have the xpm pixbuf module built & available in > /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf-loaders ? How do I check that? A simple ls gives: pylos CV # ls -l /etc/gtk-2.0/ total 8 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 487 Jun 8 17:07 gdk-pixbuf.loaders -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1626 Jun 8 17:07 gtk.immodules Is gdk-pixbuf.loaders the right file? *** Bug 95985 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** OK, I updated a lot of other gnome components, including: startup-notification-0.8 gnome-desktop-2.10.0 eel-2.10.0 librsvg-2.9.5 gnome-games-2.10.0 gnome-menus-2.10.0 gedit-2.10.3 gnome-session-2.10.0 gnome2-user-docs-2.8.1 and now gnumeric 1.4.3 emerges cleanly. So I guess the new version must have needed the updated version of one of these other packages in order to compile? Also, sorry about Bug 95985 -- I created it accidentally by hitting the "back" button at the wrong time! (In reply to comment #4) The above list should also include: bash-3.0-r11 readline-5.0-r2 guile-1.6.7 libcroco-0.6.0 gettext-0.14.4 i believe this was a local problem in the first place and my suggestions were on the right track. I do not see how any of the upgraded gnome libs could influence this. |
