Description Atsushi Kobayashi 2005-06-03 01:53:14 UTC
I found media-sound/mt-daapd not work with USE="howl" (net-misc/howl-0.9.6-r2)
Im tested it in x86 and ppc.
USE="howl" emerge mt-daapd (can build, but iTunes cannot found shared music)
USE="-howl" emerge mt-daapd (works fine)
I feel current howl has problem.
same problem occurs media-sound/daapd
it seems to need modify DEPEND howl? (<=net-misc/howl-0.9.x)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="howl" emerge mt-daapd
2. start mt-daapd
3. execute iTunes(from macosx or windows)

Actual Results:
mt-daapd seems start. but iTunes cannot detect shared musics.

Patch to the mt-daapd ebuild

This patch removes --disable-mdns from the configure flags, so that when you
have USE="howl" mt-daapd compiles with howl support instead of NO mDNS support.

I have tried the patch and it is working great. With howl, I can select the NIC
which mDNS is broadcast to.
