FYI there is also 2.3-beta now (https://github.com/linux-test-project/lcov/releases/tag/v2.3-beta) with long-broken "lcov --list [..]" output fixed (https://github.com/linux-test-project/lcov/issues/335). FWIW, I haven't seen Jeffrey Lin around in ages, so if you're interested in this, I'd consider at least co-maintaining it with them. I think I will bump to 2.3 final hopefully in a few days, I'm in discussion about an upcoming release upstream at https://github.com/linux-test-project/lcov/issues/373 .
