subject says it all.  after 48 hours emerging kde 3.4, it SODDING FAILED
BASTARDS FORTY EIGHT HOURS *GIBBER* because of a missing dependency.

after emerging musicbrainz manually, i am now reluctant to proceed with a second
emerge attempt because it took so damn long!  waaah!  yes i've now installed
ccache.... *sigh*.
