net-news/blam-1.8.0 crashes when refreshing feeds on x86_64:

The program 'Blam' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 3652 error_code 2 request_code 25 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

I can confirm this bug. I also get this exact same error with muine 0.8.3. It's
interesting to note that both apps (blam and muine) run perfectly with the
--sync option.

Now that it's confirmed that it happens to other AMD64 users as well, I'd add
that it works flawlessly on my ~x86 system at work.

Well, the fact that it *works* when adding --sync certainly makes debugging this
tough. I'm gonna scrounge the gtk-sharp bugzilla stuff to see if I can dig
anything up. Meanwhile, if at all possible to get a backtrace in gdb, please do.
Also, 'emerge info' for completeness couldn't hurt. Thanks.

When I add --sync I'm able to update the (default) feeds individually, but if I
choose "Refresh All" it dies with this message:

Still an issue with the recently commited blam-1.8.2 combined with mono-1.1.9.2
in portage? Please report back. thanks.

Fixed with blam-1.8.2-r1, same problem and same patch as that added to muine.
