* app-misc/rio Latest version available: 1.07 Latest version installed: 1.07 Homepage: http://www.world.co.uk/sba/rio.html Description: Utility for the Diamond Rio 300 portable MP3 player This is the Snowblind Alliance's Diamond Rio 300 manager. It has a CLI interface with FTP-like commands and supports initializing ("formatting") of both internal and external flash cards. It communicates directly with the hardware through the parallel port. Hence it needs to be run as root and will default to being installed suid root. I made this because I've always used this program with my Rio when using another OS on my desktop PC. AFAIK it's the only one available for *NIX. Also, it was an easy target for my first ebuild :) Comments are welcome. If I've done something wrong or stupid please tell me.
