"OpenSAML 1.0.1 is a set of open source Java and C++ libraries that are fully consistent with the SAML 1.0 and 1.1 CR specifications."

opensaml is a depdnencyy of jboss-3.2.7 and jboss-4.0.2. It depends on at least ant, commons-logging, junit, log4j, servletapi-2.2, and xalan, in addition to jug (Java Uuid Generator, which I haven't found a working homepage for) and xmlsec (http://xml.apache.org/security/ ... which is not dev-libs/xmlsec) which aren't currently in portage.

This package has a license that is not in portage (${S}/doc/LICENSE.txt). Also,
patching is needed to make the package compile using jikes.

Now maintained in the experimental overlay.

As of July 31, 2016, all security maintenance for the OpenSAML V2 Java release branch will cease.
