tinycss2 is now required for all extensions, according to the release notes: https://inkscape.org/doc/release_notes/1.4/Inkscape_1.4.html#Important_Changes_for_Packagers Manually installing dev-python/tinycss2 makes everything I've tried so far work again. After updating from inkscape-1.3.2-r2 to inkscape-1.4, opening DXF files results in complain of missing module tinycss2. The functionality of importing DXF files is restored when dev-python/tinycss2 is installed (stable version works).
