After I unset the FEATURES symbol in my make.conf file the problem went away. > FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks sfperms strict userpriv" For me i had: FEATURES="sandbox buIldpkg ccache distcc userpriv " The common thread seems to be userpriv. This is not a ppc-macos specific bug, and I doubt it will be fixed, as it clearly is a not so easily fixable problem. use `env FEATURES="-userpriv" emerge emacs-cvs` to emerge |
