I wish to become a Gentoo developer to assist with the Gentoo documentation.

Specifically I wish to work on the following documents.

* Gentoo Accessibility Guide - how to install Gentoo with Speakup, how to build 
a working Gnome system with Gnopernicus, what Gnome software currently works 
best with speech (OpenOffice, Mozilla etc).

I would also like to discuss other accessibility software such as BRLTTY etc.

We could also investigate the possibility of a dedicated mailing list for 
Accessibility under Gentoo.

* Building an OpenSource mail scanner with Exim / Clamav / DSPAM

Currently we have good documentation available for Postfix and Qmail, but Exim 
has not received much coverage.

Exim can make an excellent MTA, and when combined with CLAMAV and DSPAM, it can 
be very effective in killing spam before it hits the users inbox.

Setting up Exiscan with DSPAM and Clamav is not trivial however, and I had to 
fight with it for a day or two to get it working right.

I would very much like to document this process, for my own personal reference, 
should I need to rebuild again, and for anyone else interested in per suing a 
setup of this nature.

* Configuring Apache + PHP + MySQL for a virtual hosting environment.

Gentoo is one of the best platforms I have seen for this purpose, and the web 
hosting company I work for has switched to Gentoo for our entire web hosting 
infrastructure.

I would like to put a document together to discuss the various challenges in 
putting together such a system, and ways in which to make a shared hosting 
environment secure.

The existing Gentoo documentation is great, and I would be greatly honored to 
be able to contribute to it in any way I can.

The usual process is for the mentor to open the new developer bug after the
person has showed they are developer material, trustworthy, etc.  Please get
ahold of SwifT (swift@gentoo.org or SwifT on irc.freenode.org).  Marking this
LATER for now.
