I think that inserting a .desktop entry in the multimedia applications menu for
xine-ui will be very usable and comfortable.

Which version of xine-ui are you using? Recent ones should have the desktop 
entry.

I'm using xine-ui 0.99.3 version

-r1 already have the desktop file. 
Not sure if that can be backported to x86 without going into ~arch and in that 
case just -r1 is good.
