Full build log
where did you get this version of conky? It's not in the main tree. I have a version 1.20.2 from the stefantalpalaru overlay, but it also recently stopped displaying graphs (which is the part that depends on -lua-cairo, so I'm guessing it's related). However, I don't get any error messages, and it emerges without error. (In reply to N. Andrew Walsh from comment #2) > where did you get this version of conky? It is in main tree since 3 hours ago: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/tree/master/app-admin/conky https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/commit/0ab26d9f41417941a795a62c94007e812012ad3b ah, that would be it. I last synced yesterday. The stefantalpalaru overlay last updated it four days ago, but I'm guessing it's the same issue. Anyway, nevermind me. I'll mask 1.20.2 for now and see if it works for the interim. update: downgrading to 1.19.8::gentoo didn't help, either. (In reply to N. Andrew Walsh from comment #5) > update: downgrading to 1.19.8::gentoo didn't help, either. It seems that you have different issue. Please use separate bug for that. Not entirely sure what is going on here. Most likely this is related to this upstream issue. https://github.com/brndnmtthws/conky/issues/1867 Created attachment 891975 [details]
ebuild attempting to fix the issue
I am not sure if this is only related to the ebuild not dealing with the new BUILD_LUA_CAIRO_XLIB build option so this probably wont help. It would be great if you could try this version anyway.

ebuild attempting to fix the issue
(In reply to Daniel Pielmeier from comment #9) > Created attachment 891976 [details] > ebuild attempting to fix the issue It still doesn't build with same error. And there is an issue in ebuild in REQUIRED_USE: "rss ( curl )" should be "rss? ( curl )" (In reply to i.Dark_Templar from comment #10) > (In reply to Daniel Pielmeier from comment #9) > > Created attachment 891976 [details] > > ebuild attempting to fix the issue > > It still doesn't build with same error. Then lets wait for upstream. > And there is an issue in ebuild in > REQUIRED_USE: > "rss ( curl )" > should be > "rss? ( curl )" Good catch! Fixed with conky 1.21.1. https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=1f91fcfaeccdaf96ece4f6dd5f128765c9dc2ba7 |
