Thanks you can already find it in the utopia overlay .. no need to file bugs for it, when you dont have to contribute anything. Oh you could test it, join #gentoo-desktop and report us how it works :) hi, i read you've put it in utopia-overlay, but haven't checked right now. So here's an overlay including ivman-0.6.1 and pmount-0.8 (as long as 0.9) won't compile at all. So for those who utopia might not work: http://toppshatta.net/pub/ivman enjoy bam I just tested the ebuilds from the overlay. Both work fine for me on amd64. Is there any reason not to put them into portage? I think it would be great if you could put the actual ones into portage. Thanks :) Portage 2.0.51.22-r1 (default-linux/amd64/2005.0, gcc-3.4.3, glibc-2.3.5-r0, 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ Gentoo Base System version 1.6.12 ccache version 2.3 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.9 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.5 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r10 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.18-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/splash /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=k8 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/pub/Linux/gentoo ftp://linux.rz.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/gentoo-mirror/ ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/mirrors/gentoo ftp://ftp.join.uni-muenster.de/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo" LANG="de_DE.utf8" LC_ALL="de_DE.utf8" LINGUAS="de" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.de.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="amd64 X acpi alsa arts artswrappersuid berkdb bitmap-fonts cddb cdr cjk crypt cups curl dvd dvdr dvdread encode fam font-server foomaticdb fortran gif gimpprint gpm gtk2 imagemagick imlib ipv6 java jp2 jpeg kde lzw lzw-tiff mad mozilla mp3 mpeg ncurses network nls nptl nptlonly ogg oggvorbis opengl oss pam perl png ppds python qt quicktime readline real spell ssl tcpd tidy tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts unicode usb userlocales vorbis xine xml2 xpm xrandr xv zlib linguas_de userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LDFLAGS 0.6.4 is already out. Would be nice if someone updated this in portage. sorry, it depends on pmount. Pmount is not in portage, so I cant add it yet on http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_D-BUS,_HAL,_KDE_media:/ I read, pmount comes from a second overlay: portage-gentopia, actually the gentopia server https://dev.cardoe.com/gentopia/ is down since at least 2 days but I wonder why I'd need it anyway: Why don't you guys put pmount into portage eventually? I found many bugs filed about that topic but I seem to be unable to find a REASON why you don't put it into portage and prefer fstab-sync. pmount is now in portage. Now ivman can be added too. http://packages.gentoo.org/ebuilds/?pmount-0.9.3 *** Bug 104041 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I added ivman-0.6.4 to the tree and it can work with the new dbus/hal. But it is masked because of pmount dependancy. |
