Description Jan Callewaert 2005-05-17 12:36:46 UTC
When I open the file dialog to open a file and
I select a document type to filter, the dialog just closes. When you close
openoffice afterwards, it isn't closed completed and uses 100 % of my cpu.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open ximian-openoffice
2. file -> open
3. filtering: select a document type

Actual Results:
The file dialog crashes. When I close ximian-openoffice, the program is still
running and is taking 100 % CPU.

Expected Results:
Select a filter

Which file selector do you use in OOo? Kde? GNOME? Native?
Comment 2 Jan Callewaert 2005-05-18 02:32:32 UTC
I have compiled ximian-openoffice with kde use flag, so I use the kde file dialog.
Comment 3 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-18 02:36:43 UTC
Just to make sure, that it is a file selector problem: Go to Tools > Options >
OpenOffice.org > General and check the box for "Use OpenOffice.org" dialogs.
This will disable the kde file selector,
Comment 4 Jan Callewaert 2005-05-18 10:08:03 UTC
It only happens with the kde file dialog.

Could you take a look at

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84655

and see if the workaround posted there helps you?
Comment 6 Jan Callewaert 2005-05-19 08:17:27 UTC
the work around solved the issue
Comment 7 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-19 08:53:08 UTC
