Description Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2024-04-13 08:44:23 UTC
This package does not support Python 3.12. Please test it with Python 3.12 as a matter of urgency as the default will change in early June, as per message on gentoo-dev: https://www.mail-archive.com/gentoo-dev@lists.gentoo.org/msg99104.html. Please check the information provided in the tracker. Ask in #gentoo-python on IRC if need any help.

The only revdep is net-mail/b4, and I'd have lastrited the package if not for it.

git-filter-repo is useful to end users, not just as a revdep. I use it every now and then, to cleanly split monorepos or to purge a private repo before opensourcing.

Adopt it? :)

Touché :)

I'll try to test it with 3.12 in the coming weeks, but like a lot of git stuff it's black magic to me. Also I'm not a Gentoo dev, I'd proxy-maint at best.

:)

You don't need to be an expert in the software or its internals, just be a (ideally regular) user of it, and be willing to look at bugs and forward upstream as appropriate, etc.

https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers/User_Guide#Proxied_maintainer_in_metadata.xml and the rest of the page covers other proxied maint bits.
