Comment 1 Luca Barbato gentoo-dev 2005-05-16 16:08:59 UTC
Can't reproduce the issue.
could you please try to rebuild with -j1 ?
Comment 2 Ralph Hartley 2005-05-17 07:18:57 UTC
Created attachment 59121 [details]
emerge output

> Can't reproduce the issue.
I didn't really have much hope of that, but filed the bug anyway in case
someone else had the same problem.

Rebuilt with -j1 (which made no difference)
Attached the entire ouput

Adding
sys-devel/gdb -nls
to package.use worked for me, but of course the underlying problem must remain.
Comment 3 Ralph Hartley 2005-05-17 08:12:04 UTC
Another problem that poped up today showed the problem.

Remerging gettext fixed everything.

I don't have xview installed now, but I did once. According to Bug #88001
installing xview breaks gettext.
