The Gentoo For Mac OS X Installation and Usage Guide states that it requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later and Xcode 1.2 or later for installation.  Xcode 1.2, OTOH, has Mac OS X 10.3 or later as a dependency:

Unless there's some method for installing Xcode 1.2 on Jaguar that I don't know about, this page should be updated.
