This has now blocked ppc64le machine for over 3 weeks.

Next time this happens, please could you send SIGUSR1 to the stuck erl process and upload the dump file that it creates? I can't figure out how to reproduce this myself.

When stuck in rebar_install_deps_SUITE:

> $ pkill -SIGUSR1 erl
> $ find /var/tmp/portage/dev-util/rebar-3.24.0/ -name '*.dump'
> /var/tmp/portage/dev-util/rebar-3.24.0/work/rebar3-3.24.0/_build/test/logs/ct_run.nonode@nohost.2024-08-30_09.43.39/erl_crash.dump
