vlc have for the moment a dependance on wxGTK-2.4
but since wxGTK 2.6 is out, it compiles with it, the gui is much nicer, and much stable (at less for me, before it was strange, sometimes it was crashing when switching fluu screen, dont know if it is linked to wx, but now it seems ok  .. . )

I'm already using a modified vlc-0.8.1-r2 to support wxgtk 2.6 and it's working great.

Thanks ( i have already reported this in bug 86419 1 week ago but nobody seems to have seen it :)
