Description Alexander Skwar 2005-05-14 03:21:50 UTC
When starting mozilla-firefox-1.0.4 (and earlier versions), I get the following output on the terminal:

Extension System Warning: Failed to set up default extensions files probably because you do not have write privileges to this location. While you can run Firefox like this, it is recommended that you run it at least once with privileges that allow it to generate these initial files to improve start performance. Running from a disk image on MacOS X is not recommended.

If this message is to be ignored by Gentoo users, I'd expect a patch to be in Fx, which removes this message. If this message also has a meaning for Gentoo users, something should be done about it :)

Stale bug, reopen if this is still an issue with up-to-date ebuilds.
Comment 2 Alexander Skwar 2005-12-23 00:28:55 UTC
That's gone in recent firefox releaes.

It is still present in nvu.

Thus, re-opening and changing summary.

I am not gonna do any more work on nvu, until upstream decides if they are gonna continue to work or not. I am giving them to the 1st of Feb. to decide if they do not at that time I will be masking nvu for removal.
