I tried "google-chrome" and "chromium" (took few hours to compile) And they both act the same way: keyboard and mouse are not responding only with these two application; all other programs are working correctly. I have suspicion it is related to Intel i5-cpu's with GPU units. How to test it? What value does the DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS variable have? For example: floppym@naomi ~ % echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS unix:path=/run/user/10000/bus (In reply to Mike Gilbert from comment #2) > What value does the DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS variable have? > > For example: > > floppym@naomi ~ % echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS > unix:path=/run/user/10000/bus I'm not sure what are you asking? I only have path: /run/user/1000/dbus-1/ This error message only showing up when I try to start "google-chrome-stable" when log-in via "ssh" to the PC Err, you are trying to run a graphical application remotely via SSH? Anyway, I want you to run "echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS" and show the result. (In reply to Mike Gilbert from comment #4) > Err, you are trying to run a graphical application remotely via SSH? > > Anyway, I want you to run "echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS" and show the > result. When I start "google-chrome-stable" from the command line there are no errors, over ssh the program starts with some error, but no response to keyboard or mouse in either cases. Here is the result: echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS unix:path=/tmp/dbus-qPxSjNjWGH,guid=ad1e992d55ee3def9eaa8fa365a056b8 Sorry, but I have no ideas for you. Likely something is weird/broken with your X server setup, but I'm not going to try and troubleshoot that over a bug report. It is possible, I am running xfce and firefox and everything is running normally. |
