hmm, could you link to the docs? I think jellyfin-web-bin provides the code that connects to Jellyfin instances, and that it is always used, no matter what instance. I might be mistaken, of course, so a link would be appreciated. TIA! https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-media-player What is written in the docs is pretty clear to me: Web client: https://repo.jellyfin.org/releases/server/portable/versions/stable/web/ Note: If you do not provide the web client, the application will use a fallback UI where the user must select a server which has a web client. So basically I can use my own www-apps/jellyfin as the web client instead of the web client binaries from that URL. that'd appear to indeed be the case - thank you for the report.
