Could you report it upstream please? (In reply to Sam James from comment #1) > Could you report it upstream please? Sorry, no. Gitlab require from me too much personal information. I am not agree. I'm not really sure we can do much about this. It's not a packaging bug and there's not really enough information for me to forward it myself either. (In reply to Sam James from comment #3) > I'm not really sure we can do much about this. It's not a packaging bug and > there's not really enough information for me to forward it myself either. Yes, this is not gentoo bug, this is package-specific. Leave it here for informational purpose. With best wishes - YD. Please don't open such bugs for "informational purpose" when you are unwilling to report them upstream. I have =app-emulation/qemu-8.2.0 =app-emulation/spice-0.15.2 =app-emulation/spice-protocol-0.14.4 and I do not observe a slowdown with spice in my windows and linux VMs. It's sluggish but not worse than with previous qemu versions. Yuriy, would you mind to share an $ emerge --info qemu so that we can try to reproduce? It is also good to know the video device model. There is a known regression in virtio-vga for example. https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/issues/2051 Hi folks. With latest glibc -2.38.r9 this issue is closed. Thanks to all!) (In reply to Alexander Tsoy from comment #7) > It is also good to know the video device model. There is a known regression > in virtio-vga for example. > https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/issues/2051 Yes!!! I reconstruct this issue. I revert to old glibc. Then test again. Current video driver I set to virtio. It reproduce > https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/issues/2051 Then I change qemu to 8.2.0 and video driver to qxl. This changes resolve all. Summary: Do not use "vga = virtio" in qemu-8.2.0 Reference: https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/issues/2051 Thanks agan, folks! |
