Modifying DEPEND would require a revbump, and the failure is only hit if you mix unstable keywords so its not really a big priority. Best way forward IMO is to stablereq 8.0.33-r1 and drop the old versions. You can elide it when adding a restriction if it's already :=, but I don't really see the point here either.
