A metadoc.xml along with its {index,list,overview}.xml files would be very nice as well.

I committed a /doc/de/metadoc.xml with s:/en/:/de/: applied to links to available German translations. An untranslated http://www.gentoo.org/doc/de/overview.xml will be available as soon as www.g.o has refreshed.

Added inserts-de.xml to cvs. 
Leaving this bug as "Assigned" to reflect that catching up is still in 
progress. 
With a little bit of luck we should get to using metadoc pretty soon.

The license was translated, thanks for the input Xavier!  
  
overview.xml, index.xml, list.xml, metadoc.xml, inserts-de.xml all done and  
committed to gentoo.org.  
Marking as fixed, since gentoo.org/doc/de/index.xml now looks fine to me.
