This is the console output:
Warning: Couldn't set 22050 Hz 16-bit audio - Reason: No available audio device
Sound and Music will be disabled
This is the error message I get from the game itself when I run it:
A required file (gfx/main/alienDevice.png) was not found in PAK file


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge blobwars
2. blobwars

Actual Results:  
The game would show an error message and request for the user to try several
things (all of which I have tried).

Expected Results:  
for blobwars to run.

move your ~/.parallelrealities/ directory aside and try running it again.
Also, what's the output from "which blobwars" and "groups"

I tried to remove ~/.parallelrealities/ but the same errors occured.

You've changed a number of use flags without remerging packages.  Try running "emerge -v --newuse world".
