This is broken on ppc32 due to https://github.com/PyO3/pyo3/issues/3614

The fix in https://github.com/PyO3/pyo3/pull/3619 hasn't even made it to a pyo3 tag much less a downstream consumer though so I don't really know how we should approach this.
