Bug 91835

Summary: transcode-0.6.11 depends on both libquicktime and quicktime4linux, who block each other

Description Tor Klingberg 2005-05-07 15:06:54 UTC
Trying to emerge transcode-0.6.11 (latest non-~x86 version) with the USE flag "quicktime" I get:
[blocks B     ] media-libs/libquicktime (is blocking media-libs/quicktime4linux-1.5.5-r1)
[ebuild  N    ] media-libs/quicktime4linux-1.5.5-r1  2,061 kB
[ebuild     UD] media-video/transcode-0.6.11 [0.6.14-r2] +3dnow +X (-altivec) +avi -debug +encode +mmx +mpeg +quicktime +sdl +sse 3,228 kB

Looking at transcode-0.6.11.ebuild I see
	quicktime? (
		virtual/quicktime
		|| (
			media-libs/quicktime4linux
			media-libs/openquicktime
			=media-libs/libquicktime-0.9.2
		)

If I change it to just
quicktime? (virtual/quicktime)
things are fine.

Later versions (transcode-0.6.14-r2) seem fine as well, but stable k3b requires transcode-0.6.11, and I don't want too many ~x86 apps.

Reproducible: Always
