It seems you are talking about openoffice-ximian. I'm talking about "plain normal" openoffice. /usr/portage/app-office/openoffice/openoffice-1.1.4-r1.ebuild Greetings Alex Sorry, my fault. Works for me. I would bet this is another problem of CFLAG/CXXFLAG-overoptimization. Especially remove the -mfpmath=sse -msse -mmmx stuff. Also why do you use -march=pentium3 if you have an athlon-xp? This should be -march=athlon-xp. Anyway, closing this, we have a warning about using generic C(XX)FLAGS for OOo. Fine that it works for YOU but it does not for ME :-(( The reason for the pentium3/athlon-confusion is that I'm building Openoffice on an athlon for my laptop - which is a pentium3 with rather few memory and I don't want to wait days until it finishes ... However, I will try it with a simple CFLAGS=-march=i686 -O2, but most of the flags I specified are stripped away automatically by the ebuild anyway. But Its worth a try. |
