Description MAL 2005-05-05 03:05:31 UTC
I'm not sure whether this is a Gentoo problem or not, but _some_ of the time when I start Opera 8 (built from the opera-8.00.ebuild in portage), a dialog pops up stating that there is a newer version available, and asks whether I want to upgrade or not.
If I click yes, it opens the update page for Opera 8 for Linux. I choose Gentoo from the list of distributions and specify the latest versions, and it starts me downloading the same file as the ebuild uses, but with a .tar.bz2 extension rather than a .tar.gz (why does the ebuild use .tar.gz ?)

Reproducible: Always
