Description Alex Barker 2023-10-04 05:38:14 UTC
This particular version of signal has started locking up my machine if I try right clicking a miss spelled word. This is going to sound insane but this seems to only happen after 5am GMT.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Wait until 05:15 UTC
2. Open Signal Desktop
3. Miss spell a word
4. Right click that word
5. Reboot
Actual Results:
System is unresponsive, unusable and I unable to close signal. The mouse still moves, but that's it. No input, no window moving, no closing signal. Cpu just sits there and burns at 100% and locks up everything.

Expected Results:
I would expect the normal context menu with suggested words

I highly doubt this is a Gentoo problem but the guys that build this Electron trash fire require that I file a bug report with you. I am well aware that we are using the official deb, so If nothing has changed in terms of dependencies for this package in the ebuild, please ignore this idiotic bug report. I will close it if the upstream issue is addressed, or if I forget about it and someone comments on it 10 years later. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
