I think it don't make sense to make an USE Flag that must be set
you can't compile transcode without dvdread...cause then gentoo says that it must be set
Don't know if i postet it right here but in #gentoo.de they said to me that i should report that ;)

Please use "New -> Gentoo Linux -> Component: Ebuilds" in future. Infrastructure is not the correct addressee.

I think you refer to dvdrip requesting you to build transcode with +dvdread.

You can actually build transcode without dvdread, you just won't have dvd support (so dvdrip won't work).

If it's not so, please reopen the bug.
