GNOME 2.10 doesn't install cdparanoia package even if it should depend on it with +cdparanoia USE. cdparanoia USE doesn't affect in any way the gnome compilation. With or without it gnome will depend on cdparanoia

Thats because sound-juicer is part of gnome and depends on cdparanoia. It is not optional. If you don't want the full gnome-desktop don't use the gnome metabuild.
