Created attachment 867747 [details, diff] horrible-hack-poc.patch We should export pkg_info in git-r3.eclass to make it easy to see which commit/tag a live ebuild was built at. We often have to ask people to look in the vdb in #gentoo when debugging issues. Attached a terrible PoC just to convince myself it works.
