I would like to use Gentoo overlays, whose master repo are set to "gentoo".

In prefix-rpath, "gentoo_prefix" repo prevents it. For example

  Unavailable repository 'gentoo' referenced by masters entry in '/Users/orv/Gentoo/var/db/repos/R_Overlay/metadata/layout.conf'

Yeah, I guessed the logic should in the same repo ;)
