Yeah, it's gone as of https://github.com/iputils/iputils/commit/fba7b62bc16f36173a1820df62cf65d5b9d5b9a1. Apparently I forgot to include it at https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/tree/net-misc/iputils/iputils-20221126-r1.ebuild#n125. Given that there does not appear to actually exist any other RARP server implementations for Linux whatsoever, I just went ahead and ripped out the last version of rarpd from iputils into its own package: http://draconx.ca/projects/rarpd-dx/ http://draconx.ca/archive/rarpd-dx/ So now I can boot my Sun again. It might be worth asking upstream to restore rarpd. I think they really only removed it because nobody spoke up with a request to keep it.
