I really missed the point where the guide states clearly: Important: You need >=sys-apps/baselayout-1.11.9 for Unicode on the console. After unmasking baselayout, readline, sysvinit and bash, all the mentioned files shown up in right places, and the variables are in right places, too. But another request should be made then: Please update the guide to be more specific why >=sys-apps/baselayout-1.11.9 is needed, what it implies, and how to do it. OTOH, if baselayout makes its way into stable... Then this request would be probably pointless. |
