I meant to stable this for a while, but there's a long list of regressions that aren't in 0.27.1 and was waiting for 0.28.2 (which seems to be taking its time).

..not that any of these feel overly major, so if there's a real need for 0.28.1, could do it anyway. At this point I feel this is likely to become 0.29

Well, it did. Let's do that one instead after giving it a bit of time (or 0.29.1 if something comes up), doesn't seem to have overly major changes and mostly fixes things that I can see.
