But do these fulfill any portage dependancies for existing ebuilds? That is how we determine what to add to portage and what to direct the user to CPAN for (currently anyway). No, they do not. It would just be handy to have the modules around. Especially CPANPLUS, as the CPAN.pm module that comes with Perl is a pain in the ass. If you're not going to include PLP and DBIx::Simple because they can be installed easily without portage, I agree. But then at least include CPANPLUS so that the user can do so without having to deal with the horrors of CPAN.pm. I will look into a CPANPLUS ebuild that isn't interactive (which is a blocking point - ebuilds cannot be interactive). For this bug though, I am going to close it out. |
