There is a bug in xfce-extra/xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin-2.7.2 that makes it crash on startup due to a missing symbol. This bug has been reported and fixed upstream. Version 2.7.3 works fine, so I suggest removing 2.7.2 and unmasking 2.7.3 instead. I believe this fix is pretty much the only change between the versions
