Bug 90522 – app-editors/nedit crashes (assert) when pressing Preferences->Statistics Line menu

When I try to choose the Statistics line by pressing the related button in the Preferences->Statistics Line menu Nedit crashes with following message:
"nedit: ../iconv/loop.c:425: internal_utf8_loop_single: Assertion `inptr - bytebuf > (state->__count & 7)' failed."

2. Press Menu: Preferences->Statistics Line


Actual Results:  
The nedit window disappears with following error message:
"nedit: ../iconv/loop.c:425: internal_utf8_loop_single: Assertion `inptr -
bytebuf > (state->__count & 7)' failed."

Expected Results:  
Not crashing ;)

Is this still an issue with nedit-5.5-r1 and openmotif-2.3.0 (or 2.3.0-r1)?
