Upstream changed this. There is a README file in /usr/share/doc explaining it. They replaced vncserver with vncsession. Please check the documentation https://tigervnc.org/doc/vncsession.html Or you can try turbovnc instead, you might find that easier. hello, i will try turbovnc. vncsession accept only 2 parameters and is unusable for me. tigervnc have also disabled X-port and use only socket, but check the X-port at startup and if i map this port with xinetd to the socket, tigervnc don't start. all this things, don't make me happy. i also try x2go, but i don't have clients for all used systems. then there is an other problem: firefox can crash tightvnc, tigervnc and x2go and i don't know, which function in firefox crash the server. this is the reason, why i only use firefox for sites, which don't use this function. but why are some functions of tigervnc are removed in gentoo. i use also debian and here i can use this functionality. it is posible, to use vnc-server from xinetd and this changes don't make it easier to make this. and sometimes it makes sense, to use different display-size for different ports. goodby |
