The gt68xx backend contains a bug which prevents it from scanning in greyscale mode. The bug is fixed in newer builds.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. scanimage --preview

Actual Results:  
[gt68xx] gt6816_setup_scan: the scanner's memory is too small for that
combination of resolution, dpi and width
scanimage: sane_start: Out of memory


Expected Results:  
Scanning a preview
