wordpad opens this easily.
Hrrrmn... what if you try "gentoo noapic" when you boot? i get the same result when I try "gentoo noapic". Want to bet it doesn't work with 2005.1, either? Can you try with 2005.1, please? If 2005.1 does not work, please REOPEN this bug. I'm hoping that the newer kernel in 2005.1 resolves this issue. A new post in the forums actually helped me fix it. Going into the BIOS on the Compaq 1850R and changing the OS from "Other" to "Unixware 7" then reboot and 2 cpus are working. Thanks! http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-378166-highlight-compaq+1850r.html Excellent! Thanks for the tip! Hopefully others will find it useful. |
