Error in apache error_log : 

Cannot load /usr/lib/apache2-extramodules/libphp4.so into server: /usr/X11R6/lib/libidn.so.11: R_PPC_REL24 relocation at 0x0c4baf58 for symbol `malloc' out of range

Btw, its still the same with 4.3.11-r2,

one of your libraries is messed up.
not a php problem.

well, as just only php 4 has  a problem with it, hm...

Try remerging net-dns/libidn if you're still having this problem.

its gone with the new php 4.4
