i got a lot of the following warning while compiling kdbg-1.2.10

cc1plus: warning: command line option "-Wmissing-prototypes" is valid for C/ObjC but not for C++

These warnings are not a problem. If they show up with kdbg-1.9.7 as well and you are keen not to see them, please inform the author - or better send him a patch.
