5.15.94 is also OK. I can confirm 6.1.13 and 6.1.15 are also affected, did someone test 6.2*? I have two laptops with additional nvidia graphics, the second, with far more recent hardware is not affected. Maybe it depends on some kernel audio config?? [ 111.813492] snd_hda_intel 0000:01:00.1: bound 0000:01:00.0 (ops nv50_audio_component_bind_ops [nouveau]) Just noticed that the system having this problem has no option to disable the dedicated graphics in bios, so I can blacklist nouveau, but this means I have no power control over the dedicated gpu, this is really ugly. Problem appears to still be there in 6.1.19, which just stabilized. I didn’t actually check the log, but symptoms look the same. 5.15.102, recently stabilized, is also OK (*not* broken). We'll watch the upstream bug and backport any patches identified Upstream bug tracker claims this is fixed in 6.7.0, and my own testing agrees. This is a regression from gentoo-sources-5.15.88 (previous stable) to 6.1.12 (current stable). With nouveau built-in, the kernel hangs at boot. With nouveau built as a module, modprobing it results in the modprobe process crashing but the system as a whole staying up.
