can you give me an in-tree reproducer? I haven't seen any example of breakage like this. I'm not aware of any in-tree examples. |
=dev-libs/boost-1.81.0-r1 package somehow indirectly encodes -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Gentoo for boost cmake files. This causes cmake ebuilds that use EAPI=8 break on boost imports. Setting CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Gentoo as a workaround in the ebuild seems to work. I would say the need for such a workaround is a bug. Real world broken package is vcmi.
