The release notes of manpages-l10n-4.17.0 say:
"New language: Russian. Note, the Russian man page translation project seems to be abandoned, so we decided to import the outdated translations and merge with the latest templates. Currently the .po files are still unmaintained."

Indeed the last visible upsteam commit was in 2019 according to <https://sourceforge.net/projects/man-pages-ru/>.

So, what is the status of this package? Is it still maintained independently, or will the Russian man pages be absorbed by the manpages-l10n project?
